1778 - Marines participated in the USS Ranger's capturing and sinking of a British schooner off the coast of Ireland.

1995 - Capt Randolph A. Guzman and Sgt. Benjamin L. Davis killed when the Alfred Murrah Federal Office Building was bombed in Oklahoma City.

General,

Several former (hate the ex thing, gives us a negative connotation) Marines were killed in Okie City that day. I believe they were all Feds, ATF, FBI, etc..
